National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) is a National Law University in India, offering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Situated in Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi -110078, India, NLUD is one of the national law schools in India built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India. The National Law University Act, 2007 provides for the Chief Justice of India to be the university's visitor, whereas the Chief Justice of the High Court of Delhi to function as the university's chancellor. whereas its vice-chancellor functions as the chief.

- Negative marking: There will be Negative Marking in AILET 2020-21. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark.
Eligibility
- All candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection shall be solely on that basis. The Foreign National and OCI/PIO Candidates are also required to apply online on the same portal.
- Have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks. The Eligibility condition for admission of students under the Foreign Nationals Category shall be 65% marks in the Higher Secondary School Examination of (10+2) system or an equivalent examination. Candidates appearing/ awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date which will be notified along with the Notification of Entrance Test result and in case such candidate is placed in compartment in the year of the admission, would be treated as ineligible. Foreign National Candidates are exempted from taking the admission test. The other regulations regarding the eligibility for admission will be the same as applicable to the other candidates. The candidates belonging to OCI/PIO category shall have the option to either apply under the Foreign National Category or under the category of Indian students. In case the OCI/PIO candidate apply under the category of Indian National, they have to appear in the All Indian Law Entrance Test along with other students.
Definition of Foreign Nationals : The candidates who possess citizenship of a country other than India and hold valid passport.
Definition of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/Person of Indian Origin (PIO) : As notified by the Govt. of India.

Total Seats : 80 [70 Seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 Seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit (5 seats for Foreign Nationals & 5 seats for OCI/PIO)]
Reservation : 15% for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 5% for Persons with Disabilities.

Section-wise BA LLB syllabus+
1. Reasoning - The purpose of this section is to test the logical and analytical skills of the candidate. Questions in this section will be asked from topics like syllogism, blood relations, identifying patterns, logical links and rectifying illogical arguments. 2. English -The candidate in this section will encounter questions on English Grammar, vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms, choosing the correct words, idioms and phrases and jumble words and sentences. There will also be questions on English comprehension that will be designed to evaluate the candidates’ interpretation and answering capability. 3. General Knowledge -The question in this section will be derived from areas like Economics, Current affairs, Geography, Civics, History, and General Science. 4. Legal Aptitude - The purpose of this section is to evaluate a candidate’s ability to research skills, interest in law and problem-solving abilities. 5.
