IPMAT

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPM Aptitude Test or IPMAT) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM Rohtak). The exam is conducted for admission into the Five Year Integrated Management programme offered at IIM Rohtak. IPM Aptitude Test will be conducted in computer-based test mode (CBT). Candidates who successfully complete the course will be given an MBA degree and candidates who choose to opt out of the course after three years will only be given Bachelors of Business (BBA) degree. Candidates who clear the IPM Aptitude Test will be called for further admission procedure which includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Exam: All candidates who have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent exam from schools across India in 2022 or appearing in 2024 are eligible to give the IPMAT Exam.

Minimum marks: General candidates should have a minimum percentage of 60% and candidates from SC, ST, and PwD should have a minimum percentage of 55% in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

The IPM Aptitude Test exam is conducted for two hours or 120 minutes. The exam is conducted every year in the computer-based test mode. There are three sections in the IPMAT question paper, i. e. Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. Each section is to be solved within 40 minutes. Since IPM Aptitude Test is a centre-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section automatically as soon as the time limit gets over.

IPM AT has a total of 120 questions. Each section carries 40 questions. For each correct attempt, four marks are awarded and one mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Therefore, the total marks of IPMAT is 600.

IPM AT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak, for admission to integrated MBA programme offered by the institute. The exam pattern for IPM AT is as follows: 

Section 1: Verbal Ability: This section tests the candidate's English language skills. It consists of 40 MCQs. The section tests the candidate's understanding of topics such as Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, etc.

Section 2: Quantitative Aptitude: This section tests the candidate's quantitative skills. It consists of 40 MCQs too. The section tests the candidate's knowledge of topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra Geometry, Trigonometry etc. 

Section 3: Logical Reasoning: This section tests the candidate's critical reasoning and logical aptitude. This section too, like the previous section, includes 40 MCQs and important topics under this section are Blood Relations, Visual Puzzles, Syllogisms, Arguments, etc.

IPMAT Indore Selection Procedure

Students who aspire to get into the 5 years Integrated Programme in Management have to appear and qualify in 2 tests, based on which a student is offered admission into the IPMAT Programme. Candidates will be selected based on their overall aptitude test and personal interview performance.

Stage 1:

  • As part of the selection procedure, candidates will have to undergo the 'Aptitude Test' by IIM Indore which will test the Aptitude and Proficiency in English of the candidate.
  • The candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks as per the cut-off that is prepared by IIM Indore to move on to the next stage. Those candidates who qualify for this test are allowed to appear for Personal Interview (PI).
  • The questions will be multiple choice questions with 4 marks for every right answer and a negative marking of -1 for every wrong answer.

Stage 2:

  • Candidates who are shortlisted will proceed to the second stage, i.e. Personal Interview (PI).Personal Interview (PI): Those candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test round will be eligible for the Personal Interview. The interview judges the students' level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills, and knowledge. This is administered by the admissions committee.

JIPMAT

JIPMAT or Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test is a national-level entrance examination for admission to 5-Year Integrated Program in Management. JIPMAT scores help in IPM admissions at IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. The exam will be held for 2.5 hours in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in more than 75 cities across India. The JIPMAT question paper will have a total of 100 questions on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.
